Upstairs are two bedrooms, which look out over the garden, both are light bright and have queen size beds. Downstairs the cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, a separate dining room, a full laundry, a large spa room, and a lounge room. Grove Cottage is a beautifully restored two bedroom 1860s cottage consisting of two bedrooms with queen size beds. The bathroom has a bath and a separate shower. Linen and some toiletries are supplied. It has a large kitchen, dining and living area with French doors that open onto a barbecue area. Attached to the building is a fully equipped laundry. It is set amongst pine trees in a cottage country style garden. It has shady verandahs on three sides. To coincide with the 2016 Sydney Cherry Blossom Festival, Peacock Gallery and Auburn Arts Studio invited well-known curator, Glenn Barkley to consider a group exhibition that looks at the influence of Japanese aesthetics and themes of botanical exploration in Australian contemporary art. 'Objects in Space: Artists in the Garden' features leading artists alongside local craft workers and artisans in an exhibition that unfolds across several domains within Auburn Botanic Gardens - a unique green space environment located just 18 kilometres west of Sydney?s CBD. Drawing on ideas of the inside and out, artworks are positioned in the park?s Japanese gardens as well as recreating the botanical within Peacock Gallery?s exhibition spaces ? itself a former fernery in the gardens. The exhibition presents ceramics, sculpture, photographs, knitting and further mixed media.
