Opened in 2014, 'Old Tambo' is for experienced mountain bike riders looking for a high adrenaline run. It features fast flowing corners, rollers, dips, gaps and a nice chill out section through treed grasslands before the tight and technical bermed corners, drop-offs and steep grades to exit.
Access to the start of trail is on the top of Mount Tamborine, at the end of Wongawallan Road, Eagle Heights. It ends at the bottom of the mountain on Welches Road, Wongawallan.
The Black Diamond Trail is built by well-respected Australian track builders, Trailworx and Trailscapes. Designed in association with and built to the trail building guidelines of the International Mountain Bicycling Association.
The descent is approximately three-kilometres and will take experienced riders 10-minutes. It's possible to ride back up the fire road that mostly runs parallel to the trail but it's steep! Most opt to shuttle back to the top with a vehicle and driver.
The track includes many technical sections, jumps and berms as well as small rest areas. It's best suited for all-mountain (AM/Enduro) bikes. It can be ridden with a downhill bike, although there is some pedalling involved. This is a public trail open for all to use.

Discover north Brisbane’s railway history by cycling the tracks of the old Ferny Grove Line that once continued onto Dayboro, cutting through Camp Mountain to Samford. After a derailing disaster led to the trainline closing, the area was turned into the Samford Valley Rail Trail which today runs 8.3 kilometres starting from the Ferny Grove Railway Station.
Cycle your way through Samford Forest, part of the ‘Mountains to Mangroves’ bushland corridor protecting wildlife, before coming out to rolling farmland around the base of Camp Mountain. Also through this section you will come across a memorial cairn marking the site of the 1946 railway disaster....

Boomerang Farm Bike Park is a gravity mountain bike park featuring a range of trails from green (easy) and blue (not too hard) to black and double black (big jumps to crazy big jumps). It features several free ride lines, three downhill lines and some learner downhill trails.
"Boomers" is continually expanding and improving. Some of their featured events are a downhill mountain bike race and a gravity enduro race, big line session days and a Christmas Jam with bands and competitions.
Shuttles are available Friday through to Sunday where riders are given a lift to the top of the hill and then ride down.
The Park operates on the hill at the back of Boomerang Farm Golf Course and hence has a cafe and drink sales available at the bottom. And for the rider a bike shop has started up recently near the shuttle pick up area.
Boomers is renowned for a friendly atmosphere amongst the riders.

The Deception Bay Heritage Trail covers about four kilometres and can be completed in a 90-minute stroll. Over 10 unique sculptural markers, made from brushed and painted aluminium on structural aluminium pipe, identify each heritage location.
The abstract forms of the markers were inspired by mangrove leaves in various states of growth and decay, mangrove root systems and the foreshore rock formations that can be seen at the northern end of the Bay at low tide.
