Owned and operated by a sharp team of creative minds, Rooftop Cinema is committed to showcasing arthouse, classic and recent release films in a completely unique urban environment.

Antonio Zeccola's involvement in film dates back to the 1960's where his first foray into the motion picture industry was (like his father's before him) a rented town hall screening films to small but enthusiastic audiences.

His obvious passion and commitment translated into success very quickly and by the mid to late 1970's Antonio operated a number of suburban cinemas including The Metropolitan in Brunswick, The Roma in Bourke Street and The Palace in Bourke Street from which the group derived its current corporate identity as Palace.

The group continued to flourish throughout the 1980's and early 1990's with the addition of a number of successful locations such as the Dendy Brighton, The Balwyn Cinema and The Academy Cinema in Paddington, NSW. During this time Palace Home Entertainment was created to cater for the growing demand for home videos.

Greater Union Melbourne City has six cinemas with 35mm projection. Featuring Dolby surround sound, Greater Union Melbourne City is the perfect spot to catch the latest movies.

Ford Fiesta Moonlight Cinema is an open air cinema screening new release, classic and cult films on the lawns of the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne.

Moonlight is now closed, however season 2011/12 is just around the corner.

Chinatown Cinema Corporation was inaugurated in 1971 in Australia. Our Business includes film production, the distribution of Hong Kong movies, organization and promotion of pop concerts. Chinatown Cinema Corporation produced twelve films and also co-produced many others with some Hong Kong reputable movie makers. Amongst some Box Office hits were ‘Love Soldier of Fortune”, “Chungking Express” etc.

For almost a decade Chinatown Cinema Corporation was acting as Sole and Exclusive Agent for famous film companies such as Shaw Bros, Golden Harvest, Cinema City, D&B and Impact etc. We distributed numerous blockbusters of Jet Li’s, Jackie Chan’s Chow Yun Fat’s and the late Bruce Lee’s films.

With plush, comfortable seats and seven state-of-the-art cinemas, the Kino Cinema screens local and international feature films and documentaries.

Throughout the year, the Kino presents film festival programs, retrospectives and special events such as premieres, forums and Q&As. Before or after the show, enjoy a coffee or glass of wine at the espresso bar.
