Founded in 1953, the Melbourne Theatre Company (MTC) is Australia's oldest professional theatre company, producing up to 12 plays in a subscription season.
MTC productions appear in two venues in the Southbank Theatre: the 500-seat Sumner and the Lawler theatres. Several function rooms are available for hire, and the Script Bar and Bistro is on-site.
