The Woodford Visitor Information Centre is located right beside the water tower in Archer Street Woodford. The volunteers are always ready to assist travellers and have a range of maps, brochures, fact sheets and lots of local knowledge. Bellthorpe National Park is at the southern end of the Conondale Range in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. Experience rugged bush land with rainforest, waterfalls and scenic creeks. Escape the hustle and bustle and relax over a picnic in the Stony Creek day-use area. You'll find a rugged landscape of open forest and rainforest with many small waterfalls, creek cascades and a rock pool. Look for frogs and lizards around the rock pools, and see how many forest bird species you can identify. The park is home to a large number of plant species and a haven for many endangered and threatened animals. There are no formal walking tracks however bushwalkers and birdwatchers can use the SEQ horseriding trail network or stop at numerous creek crossings on the forest roads to explore and admire the scenery of this remote area. Anderson Fire Trail runs from Bedford Creek near Woodford to Kings Tableland at Wentworth Falls and is suitable for mountain biking and walking. The Trail also provides access to Murphys Glen and Ingar Picnic Area which is a popular campsite and picnic area. Access to Ingar Picnic Area is from Kings Tableland Road.

Arriving at The Oaks picnic area, named for the nearby casuarinas, enjoy a well-earned lunch. From here, the track continues as a dedicated cycle track with a steep ride up Glenbrook Gorge to the station. In the warmer months, the aroma of wildflowers and eucalypts mingle to create a heady perfume. Woodford was originally known as Twenty Mile Hollow and was home to a popular coaching inn, the Woodman's Inn built in 1834. After passing through different owners, the inn closed and became a private residence called Woodford House. By 1871 the locality also became known as Woodford and the house later became the well-known Woodford Academy, a school for boys and is now a heritage-listed building.Woodford is approximately 90 kilometres west of Sydney and is very popular with mountain bike riders and walkers as the starting point for the well known Oaks and St Helena fire trails...

Murphys fire trail, from Woodford to Murphys Glen campground, offers a unique driving tour through unspoilt heathlands. Situated in Blue Mountains National Park, only a short drive from local townships, it’s a great track for driving, walking and mountain biking. Following a narrow ridge top with scenic views across Cumberland Plains, you might be sharing the track with swamp wallabies and goannas.
