Snakes Downunder Reptile Park and Zoo is a fun and affordable day out to be enjoyed by the whole family. Admission cost includes the opportunity to handle a python and baby salt water crocodile, view snakes shows and a crocodile feeding display and enjoy guided tours of various static displays. Other attractions include a fantastic Snake House, a walk though vivarium housing dragons and frogs and a kangaroo reserve where the animals can be hand fed. The most recent addition to the Zoo is "Millie" their koala. By early October "Millie" will have company with the arrival of two more female Koalas. There is no charge for photography within the park and this includes during handling sessions. As you can see, Snakes Downunder Reptile Park and Zoo is "much more than just snakes".

The Military and Memorabilia Museum is 'unquestionably one of the best displays of military memorabilia outside the Canberra war memorial' as was the 'wrap' placed on the collections at the Military and Memorabilia Museum by the judges when Childers won Queensland's Best Heritage Town in 2010. The collection includes countless items associated with various emergency services including police, ambulance, fire brigade, SES and nurses. The museum also dedicates a large part to remembering our service men and women from Boer War to present day conflicts. It also showcases appliances from bygone eras making the collection tally up to 30,000 items from over 140 countries.

Your 'wine experience' at Hill of Promise Winery and Cellar Door starts with the warm country welcome from winemakers and cellar door hosts Mary and Terry Byrne, as they invite you to come on board for a personalised journey to discover the taste sensation of their multi-award winning preservative-free wines and fortifieds. Absorb some local history including a snapshot of Terry's Sicilian grandparents, the inspiration for this tourist destination. Walk away with more than your swag of wine. Get ready for some family recipes, food matching suggestions or cuttings from their leafy garden. The cute cellar door, part of their century-old Queenslander also has on offer a small range of gourmet products made from local ingredients and designed to appeal to foodies! Groups can join them in the winery for a first-hand 'grape to glass experience ' tour. Find out what a wine thief is and enjoy port directly from the barrel. Glass in hand, take in the waterlily-covered dam, green hills and a flash of rich, red volcanic soil. On the Bruce Highway 4.5 kilometres south of Childers, it is one of the four wineries in the Childers Wine Trail. Definitely a 'must visit' on your holiday planner!

Vintner's Secret is a boutique vineyard nestled in the fertile Isis District only two kilometres from the historic township of Childers. It grows both red and white grape varieties and produces award-wines that are sold from a cellar door located on the picturesque property. Open seven days a week from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m., it offers something to all ages.

Beautiful strolling gardens, art space display, for children an animal nursery, picnic baskets, group tours, special events, corporate events and barbecue facilities. The winery has immaculate amenities, is mobility aids accessible and has an alfresco cafe, offering refreshments and light meals.
